Topic: The Day Mugabe Will Die....
On that day, Thambo Mbeki will send a message of condolence and mourn, while the majority of Zimbabweans will take their millions, light up bonfires and celebrate.
It will be an end to that generation of bad old fashioned dictatorship; and the rebirth of panafricanism for the muzzled folks of Zimbabwe.
On that day.......continue

Panafricanism was not necessarily idea born out of the African continent itself, but from the other africans who had been taken away to other places in slavery- and exposed to vices such as racism, torture, exploitation and so on. Colonialism and neocolonialism are on that list too. Africans were to rise in setting aside their differences to set themselves free.
Fast forward to the present day Zimbabwe and you would see that the same movement which led to their freedom, the movement which brought Mugabe to power, and which, in the mindset he had then i believe he advocated, has been killed by the same man. He is worse than the colonial masters he fought to remove from power in those days. He has killed the hopes and dreams that Africans had in the pan African movement- to improve their lives economically socially and politically- that they may live in a free democratic nation that is adequately advancing to find a formidable place in the modern world.
So it is true, i am lost in thinking that in the present times of neocolonialism, panafricanism has no place- though indeed it has. The day Mugabe will die, Zimbabwe will be back to 1980, and the spirit of panafricanism will be back to life.
